Avoiding Plagiarism

Definition of Plagiarism

• An act of using or closely imitating the language and thoughts of another author without authorization and the representation of that author's work as one's own,as by not crediting the original author.

The following are considered plagiarism:

• turning in someone else's work as your own.
• copying words or ideas from someone else without giving credit.
• failing to put a quotation in quotation marks.
• giving incorrect information about the source of a quotation.

• Headings : the main point
• Details : such as any facts or explanations
• Discussion classes
• Math and Science classes
• Powerpoint presentations

Reviewing notes

• Reviewing your notes
• Recite from the headings
• Recite from the recall questions
• Talk about the information with others.

• Co-curriculum activities that are provided such as National Kesatria,Pertahanan Awam,Brass Band,Malaysian Red Crescent Society and others.
• Related to residential college such as Tok Gajah College, Mat Kilau College I & II,Tun Teja College and Dato' Bahaman College.

• Provides services such as Borrowing & circulation,Interlibrary loan,Reference service(thesis) and others.
